another option "only during commute hours" ?
Another option like that? Could go either ways though - car-wallahs may say, not during commuter hours please.
dedicated lane for cars?
Someone had an interesting take on this, just wanted to share. Since cars are the bigger problems (road throughput wise), why not force them to use a dedicated lane, and keep all else (bus, two wheelers, cycles) open on the road?
On second thoughts...
...why not let all traffic use only dedicated lanes whilst allowing buses & bicycles free to manoever anywhere ? We would then be returning back to where we started! Only, make sure buses move past signals without any delays.
