Q: What is the last thing an express highway needs?
A: A legal bottelneck.

In an inconspicuous news item, Hindu reports that people have moved to court against the expressway connecting BIAL to the city. The report does not say much about what they are demanding but looks like their irk is about authorities not giving them enough notice. I am really not sure if this is a genuine case of concern or just another greedy attempt at making money out of blackmailing multi-crore Rupee projects. We will know soon hopefully.
The Airport nevertheless seems to be free of legal bugs and looks like it will be finished in due time. Only the connecting infrastructure is in problem. On a related note, one arm of trumphet interchange is also in dispute. With 9 months to go for the BIAL completion, this might only mean that you will have to see a lot of chaos to reach the airport till all these issues are sorted out. Nothing that a Bangalorean is new to.
