BusPublic Transport

The 23-kilometer (14.3-mile) corridor is the first BRT in China that integrates bicycles in its design. According to Karl Fjellstrom, vice-director at ITDP, there are 5,000 bikes and 5,500 parking docks included in the BRT.

Compare & contrast after ORR BRT gets operational. You can tell already how it will turn out. Like all other infrastructure projects which exist in our city today.

Wow! something that is so possible in our city but is still not a reality...I’ve been evangelized, BRT is surely the way. We should begin with “pilot” stretches and once the benefits are seen we can expand. What really impresses me is the length to which the system is gone to make this a truly successful initiative/solution; stations, automatic ticketing, the bicycle options, pre-paid ticketing wow wow wow
