I visited the Krishna Deva Raya Station in Vijayanagar on Sunday. What is striking here is the absolute lack of infrastructure! Some issues with this station are:
(1) Lack of platforms
(2) A poorly deisgned box, which serves as the ticket counter
(3) The endless construction of the railway underpass
(4) The makeshift cover over the place, where passengers halt and wait for the station
(5) Lack of connectivity - No auto stands, no mini buses to this station
(6) Lack of lighting
The Ramanagar train shall halt at this station and a lot of basic issues are yet to be addressed.

Amit

Already good number of people are using
Inspit of all those facility lacking, passengers are using this station and it helps most of the commuters going towards Mysore during weekend and returning back to Bangalore.
I think more then 500 people make use of this station daily which is quite impressive considering a six months only.
It is for this reason that we
It is for this reason that we need better facilities here.
Far too many lives have been lost on Mumbai's suburban rails. We can't allow a repeat of that anywhere in India.

Similar halt stations can be planned
Why not have halt station at Tannisandra and below Trumpet Flyover of BIAL Airport.
Cost of these halt stations with basic faiclity will cost arround 5 lakhs with low level Platform, for high level Platfor and shelters, arround 60 - 70 Lakhs cost per halt station.
These small investments makes sense for the Bangalore suburban rail during time when Govt of India is not yet taken deceision on Bangalore Suburban Rail.
