Mr. Vijay Mallya is again in news this time for the Kunigal Stud Farm. Kunigal Stud Farm has Tippus Heritage Status. A city needs to preserve the Heritage sites as one of the important anchors for preserving local culture.

81% 'below poverty line' in the state!

With elections on the horizon, the Yeddyurappa government directed the food and civil supplies department to give BPL ration cards to whoever produced an affidavit. Of the total 1.32 crore families in the state, today 1.07 crore, or 81% claim to be living below poverty line just to get access to the card!
