Footpath on Indiranagar 100ft Road is not for pedestrians

This video was taken on 13/09/2008 between 10:30 and 11:00 am on Indiranagar 100ft Road, Bangalore. Starting from Wills showroom upto Flyover and back from flyover upto Axis Bank on the other side. Offices/Shops are just about opening and footpaths are fairly free.

Only those portions where there is no access or more than 70% of footpath have been encroached have been videographed. As you may see, builders have dumped their construction materials and using footpath as a tractor stand. Apart from preventing use of footpath to pedestrians, the footpaths which are laid at huge cost are damaged because of this dumping. Don't know why neither the BBMP nor the Traffic Police who frequent this road don't take any action to clear these encroachments? A two wheeler parked in a no parking zones is immediately towed away but not one parked on the footpath? The TMT Bars dumped on the footpath can become dangerous splinters in days of urban terrorism. Is anybody listening? N.B:- This video has been shot from a mobile cam and you may notice a finger obstructing the view frequently. Since this video was shot secretly and by an amateur, the same may be overlooked.
