Let us start building a "citizen's resources" section at Praja website. Many members know websites, phone numbers or email addresses for various local government bodies or public service providers. Let us start listing all such 'self-help' resources.

Eventually, this new section here could have the following:

1) Self help: as mentioned above

2) RTI and PIL guidelines: how to file a RTI application. Or even a PIL. And member's success stories

3) Contacts of helpful NGOs and RWAs (resident welfare associations) that members have experiences with

Let us start with #1. Leave your tips as comments to this post, or email us via the contact page. We will keep moving them to the new resources section of the website. This new section will be visible only to the registered members so that email addresses listed there don't get spammed.

PIL to save people from cows & cowdung.

Dear sir, Thank you for opening scuh a site in a view of helping bangalore. I saw your Views regarding helping in filing PIL. can any one help me and my neighbours. We are extremely torubled by a family which does mily dairy business in my area .the problem with these people are they always tie cows and calves on raod ,to electirc poles and leave these as it in on roadtheseput lot of cowdung and othereatbales on raod which stinks till the next day morning untill BBMP staff comes & Cleans .Apart from this these cows trouble several other hundruds of road users.several complaints to BBMP has been useless. helath deaprtment officials have been useless & Helpless. So we would like to file a PIL against BBMP which has failed to save the citizens rom these cows. Can any one tell me how to file a PIL is there any lawer avaible in sowth part of bangalore whom we can approach and sek his help how much time and money we need for this ? Thanking you all again.
