A few weeks back, there was an announcement of the commencement of work on the subject plan, with a pooja, presided over by the BTM layout (under which Assembly constituency, the area falls) MLA, Sri Ramalinga Reddy.

Finally we need a crisis of sorts to get the govt machinery started and the CM talking tough about illegal encroachments onto lake areas. Everyone has abused the lakes systems in the worst possible way. So course corrections are necessary and a must!

SOme right vibes coming out from the opposition too, where BJP has asked to go behind the big players too, citing as below:

Over the months, we have tried to get Government to enforce the rule of law and bring to a halt the illegal constructions opposite Agara lake by Mantri and Salarpuria (check this).

Efforts to get them to act have hit a dead end.

HI All,

Everyday I travel via the road next to bellandur lake to OOR. The speed at which the dumping trucks are covering up the lake is scary. I am planning to file a RTI seeking more information about this issue. As I am filing an RTI for the first time, would welcome any help in helping me format the right queries for the RTI.

When Sunita Rao called me yesterday evening, about Bellandur Lake, we talked about diverting the storm water drain sewage water being discharged into the Lake. I must admit of my folly. The basic question is why is the sewage water flowing in the Storm water Drain in the first place?!!!! The reason is obvious!
