Wide & elevated rendered useless

For those who think wide roads, elevated routes et al is the solution - this is Hampton, zone 4 outskirts of London. I get caught in this rut each time I decide to drop my daughter off by car during morning rush hour.

Contra development?!!

Wonder if there was anyway to get this into the mainstream media who love to tout the addition of road infrastructure (underpass, overpass, magic box et al.).

Seoul has an excellent example of a development that goes contrary to most conventional ideas. The River Cheonggyecheon (Seoul, South Korea) is the story of a polluted stream turned 5.8km long 6 lane concrete expressway that was demolished at a cost of $380 billion to make way for the restoration of the stream in its pristine state.
