Infrastructure projects related to Projects mainly Commuter Rail, Light Rail, Monorail and BRTS is not progressing anywhere. Both the earlier BJP and Congress Governments have forgotten the CTTP reports and the recent survey done by a UK based company which already had prepared DPR for the light rail on the western half of Outer Ring Road and Magadi Road.

The Sorry state of affairs at KNDV Station

Commuter Rail

I visited the Krishna Deva Raya Station in Vijayanagar on Sunday. What is striking here is the absolute lack of infrastructure! Some issues with this station are:

(1) Lack of platforms

(2) A poorly deisgned box, which serves as the ticket counter

(3) The endless construction of the railway underpass

BMTC costliest in country

Bus

Recently Petrol and diesel prices have come down but BMTC has not reduced its prices.

A simple comparison shows why people should not use BMTC.

Avoid Volvos, BMTC buses and increase more traffic in city.

Root cause is public transport mode is way tooooooooo costly.

Petrol rate : 70.5  Mileage Bike at 50Kmpl Car 15 kmpl

Sewage Treatment Plants in BBMP area, where does 800 - 900 MLD of water goes daily in Bangalore ???

800 -  900 LD of water pupmed to Bangalore from Caveri river and transported over 100 Kms along with other water sources of 250 MLD apart from the borewell run with tankers.

This is apart fro what Bangalore  receives rain all 12 months which no other Big city in India receives.

Balabrooie brew

"There is no proposal to demolish or alter Balabrooie. The discussion to have a legislators' club on the lines of the Constitution Club of India in New Delhi has been going on for 10 years. The government has not taken any decision yet on where to have it,'' Siddaramaiah told STOI.

Late night public transport- Does it mean our city is safer for women?

Bus

A city with a population of over a crore needs a transport system round the clock. Unfortunately, this legitimate demand of citizens seems to have fallen on deaf ears. Even the much touted Bangalore Metro system shuts it services at 10:00 PM. This is unlike DMRC whose services run till 11:00 PM.
