Peripheral Ring Road needed immediately

Dear Prajayists, I wonder what happened to the Peripheral Ring Road Phase-1 in Bangalore connecting Hosur Road-Old Madras Road-Bellary Road-Tumkur Road. In the month of June 2008 the Govt had sanctioned an amount of Rs. 3000 crores for laying of this road by BDA. Land Acquisition process is over and objections were minimal thanks to the TDR facility offered by the BDA in the Master Plan 2015.

As we have seen, read and heard about ABIDE, BCIC, BMLTA and various government and non-government agency's plans and efforts to decongest Bengaluru's roads. There is one thing common in all their plans - Public Transport to be the lead entity to de-congestion. In that Public transport system, road based public transport system would be a major share holder. There are no 2 opinions on this. comment guidelines
