Petrol Unavailability and reduction of vehicles

Because of the unavilability of Petrol and Diesel, so many vehicles have reduced on the road and people are tending to use public transport and autos. There are long queues in Petrol Bunks and it is annoying to stand in such long queues. People are feeling it is better to take the bus or auto until it settles down.

Train to Airport over High Speed - Prof Sreehari's points

Continuing on the proposals to start Trains to BIA on South Western Railway's tracks, some of us got a note from Prof Sreehari where he is arguing for investment on this Railway system (CRS) over the proposed High Speed Rail Link (HSRL). News reports have suggested that HSRL is almost dead. The current action on CRS is likely a related event. Here is the note from Prof Sreehari (see below) with some details:

Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa inaugurated the Centre for Infrastructure, Sustainable Transportation and Urban Planning (CiSTUP) on the premises of Indian Institute of Science (IISc) here on Friday. CiSTUP will focus on issues related to urban transport, planning and infrastructure, besides urban local issues such as water supply, sewerage and solid waste management.

Think an interactive website where citizens learn the art of participation themselves, on their own time, and at their own pace.
