- I have a broader sense of responsibility towards the under privilged in India and doing something for my city is a natural extension of it.
I am Willing to be the change and not just talk about change. I want to bridge the gap between people willing to do something about the city and people willing to spend money to achieve it.
- My vision
- I would love Bangalore and all other Indian cities to be atleast as civic as some of the model cities in the world. As it stands, our civic governance(if you choose to call it that way) is a grand failure and is mired in Corruption and Red-Tape and its time the majority of conscious citizens took matters such as this to the next level of execution.
The following are easily enumerable when I think where I want Bangalore to be,
1. Fast and Efficient City Governance system with no corruption and minimal Red-Tapism for atleast the following day-to-day tasks,
a. Property Tax payments, Asessment
b. Birth and Death Registration
c. Plan sanction, Approval and inspection
d. Primary and secondary Healthcare for people Below Poverty Line and enable participation of third-party healthcare providers with incentives to manage resources effectively.
2. Efficient management of city's Roads, Pavements, Parks and Utilities by Privatization and fixed duration contracts with primary monitoring by Local Residents' association where available and secondary monitoring by City administration.
3. Clean and Green city with Micro waste management sites in each locality with direct link-up to Plastic waste recyclers and other waste consumers.
4. Multi-mode integrated transport system run by a centralized management, but maintained by respective promoters/providers.
