Finally SWR has called tender for ROB at MES road connecting to Tumkur road on ORR which was real pain for road users.

Tender value worth Rs 20.22 Crore , to be completed in 24 months. As their are two rail gates, it was nighmare for road travell.

Yes, it was utter nonsense that the second link-track & gate was put up recently, without having the overbridge.

I still cant figure out how this RoB will be constructed! Its the narrowest segment of the ring road, anywhere around Bangalore. And it carries so much large-trucks that there are no decent-enough alternate roads for them, forget the other traffic!

The union minister of state for Railways, KH Muniyappa, has promised to open the Nelamangala- Bangalore Rail in the next three months. He said that the delay was due to technical problems and these will be sorted out soon.

This was to b opened during july'2011, but SWR has ensured that their is delay and public money is wasted and now reason given is technical delay.  Why is Minister not holding concerned official responsible for this delay.

Finally this line  will be advantage for commuter rail  for Bangalore and this was discussed during June'2011 meeting with DULT & SWR,  that time SWR wanted run services between Mandya to Nelamangala.

Railway Minister D V Sadananda Gowda inspected the progress of the railway overbridge at Allalasandra, off Bellary Road, and asked railway officials to sort out land issues with the Bangalore Development Authority for diversion of traffic.

The minister also visited the road overbridge near Allalasandra (Jakkur level Crossing) and asked Railway Officials to speed up work and complete the project by January next year.

When Gowda inspected the progress of the construction of the new overbridge at Jalahalli, officials told him that there is a requirement of 1500- 2000 square meter of land, in the area, for completion of construction.

Joint meeting

The Minister then instructed Railway Officials to have a joint meeting with the Bangalore Development Authority authorities and other persons involved and expedite the process of acquiring the land.

He said that the work should be completed by January 2015 and asked the Railway authorities to sort out the problem of traffic diversion in consultation with Traffic Police department and the State Authorities.

Other officers

Anil Kumar Agarwal, Divisional Railway Manager, Hari Babu, Deputy Chief Engineer Construction, along with other Railway officials were present during the inspection.S R Vishwanath, legislator from Yelahanka consitituency, was also present along with B N Krishnaiah, Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the Minister.

AS BDA is not able to pay compensation to Defence as per market rate ( may BDA is poor by  allocating G catery sites )  money arranging for this is big issue.  But GOk has 1000 of crore build steel flyover, signal free corridors but not have money to pay to Govt organization.

Earlier Railway Min Sadanand Gowda could not solve this dead lock  which was in Aug 2014

Traffic pileup affecting my studies says 8-year-old letter toPMO

An eight-year-old boy did what thousands of harried motorists didn't. Abhinav, a Class III student, wrote a letter to the prime minister's office about the gridlock at a key junction in northwest Bengaluru that's testing the patience of commuters in that area.

The boy takes 45 minutes to commute a distance of 3km from his home to the National Public School in Yeshwanthpur. The boy's family stays in Doddabommasandra, Vidyaranyapura.

Abhinav's letter said an under-construction flyover over a railway crossing on the Outer Ring Road, near Goraguntepalya junction, was causing traffic pileups. The PMO has asked the railways to look into the matter.

The pileup, the letter says, is affecting "not just people's health, but also my studies", adding the project is behind schedule due to a delay in getting sanctions from the defence authorities.

TIMES VIEW

It took an eight-year-old's letter to the PMO to put the spotlight on a delayed project that has been causing much hardship to the public. Often civil projects languish for years due to tussles between departments and jurisdictional issues. It's time projects meant to benefit people aren't sacrificed over such ego clashes and sanctions are expedited. The boy's letter also shows that it's never too early or never too late to make a case for public good. Hopefully, Bengalureans will learn some lessons on taking up initiatives from this young citizen. Also, one hopes the PMO's response will not end up as mere lip service and prod the warring agencies to arrive at a solution.

So when MP and Railway Minister could not solve this issue, how come PMO woke up  now.

When Project Suburban Rail for Bangalore pending,  PMO  do not have any interest.

MP P C Mohan and Ananthkumar spending their MP funds for  halt station.

All these shows how badly Bangalore suburban rail is crawling due to lack of interest  by PM and Railway Minister.

Do these people need some one to tell how they are affecting Bangalore citizens life.
