This program consolidates all proposals related to enabling bicycle infrastructure in Bangalore. We started with Bike sharing proposal in the Central Business District (CBD). We then worked on getting the CBD proposal extended to other areas.

Right now, we are working to get more and more people to start using cycles as a mode of mobility. The work is likely to include activities around a core monthly "Cycle Day" concept. Stay tuned as we work on it.

petrol prices a driver?

Below is the crude prices in the last few years..its almost trebled!

So it makes another compelling reason why we need more cycles on the streets..

It doesnt work out if we take out cars for buying kothambari!

More so in the CBD, the traffic speeds are slow and more fuel is burnt as vehicles are always in their lower gears..the very same concept used in Hybrids!

Hence dumping cars and getting onto cycles is the best option!

WB funds to build NMT infra!

There is already money being poured in by the WB to built NMT infra. pilot

To make cycling 'cool'

Guess in order to make cycling a 'cool' concept..we need some infrastructure in place at public spaces/places..and cycle stands are  a must..

Stand like the above..or even simpler like the ones like below should make it easier for riders and spread a sense of feeling that they are accepted and appreciated ..
