During the protest march at EWS Quarters, Ejipura, the Inspector-in-charge (named Prasad) warned one of the Resident- Representative that they would be arrested if they came in between the demolition work. When an representative from our group (civil society) stepped in and spoke to the inspector, he identified himself from an individual from an welfare group.

I had been to the protest march this morning and returned sometime back. It looks like the demolition cannot be stopped. Here are some events which unfolded.

  • BBMP commissioner had aparently agreed to stay the demolition for the next 2-3 months as consideration (children's education will be impacted.) However, no written commitment (the usual thing)

More roads for decongestion !!!
