Potholes - symptom of a major road design issue

There is a lot of frustration among citizens about the state of the city roads these days. THere seems to be a spree of activities from the govt side to 'quickly' fix the issue considering the major elections coming soon

No Trees for city streets??

Ranganath Swamy, Assistant Conservator of Forests, BBMP Forest Cell, said the existing roads were being constantly used and re-used for infrastructure projects, making trees vulnerable in the city. BBMP road history - site working

BBMP seems to have made a  silent move after the initial hype about the road history being available of all roads in Bangalore which was announced few months ago..a google search leads to the below site which gives the information:

http://218.248.45.164:808...

Use IE to open it (needs silverlight), chrome needs some tweaks to make it work.

TenderSURE - why secretive?

Yes, its beyond doubt that TenderSURE is one of the best things to happen to Bengaluru..howver what is disconcerting is the veil of secrecy or the lack of information around it..the JUSP site mentions the following:

Metro and TenderSURE

It was in news recently that the road laid by BMRCL around cubbon road after it opened is not of good quality and BBMP was planning to discuss the same with BMRC. This is being done because it is stipulated that relaying roads worked on by metro is to be done by BMRCL itself..
