Chief minister D V Sadananda Gowda on Sunday blamed former PM H D Deve Gowda for the transfer of Lokayukta ADGP Jeevan Kumar Gaonkar, prompting the latter to dismiss it as ‘‘utter nonsense’’.

With so many high profile guys in jail, or at the door steps, one good thing that I see is that Media is becoming more and more comfortable carrying numbers in their reports on corruption. What we knew and heard through the 'grapevine', now has concrete numbers. But this is probably because of well documented and researched Lokayukta reports.

I saw the following scene on my way to work. I was driving along Chord road. At one of the intersections I stopped at a signal which was also being manned by a policeman. While I had stopped, a motorcyclist from the other direction ran a red light right in front of the cop.
