The saga of encroachments and land grabbing on Bellandur lake is very painful to say the least. Its a prime example of how a historical waterbody has been turned to waste just because of human greed.

Bellanduru lake fires are becoming so common that there are jokes about it in the city and the NGT 'raps' the govt for not acting on the problem is becoming like what the SC gives every summer to the  state govt over  cauvery...NO ONE

Horamavu agara lake condition deterioriating

Hi,

 

  The condition of hormavu agara lake is deterioriating rapidly. Looks like now lot of sewage water goes in. The water weeds are covering the beautiful lake fast.

I have sent atleast 2-3 mails to KLCDA but there is no response.

Solution in STP's around Bellanduru?

As a common trend these days, any alarming occurance in the city is responded with some knee jerk reactions. It can be traffic issues or frothy waterways which CATCH FIRE!

Illegal apartment complexes, temples, coconut plantations, temporary sheds, buildings and compounds around Kaggadasapura lake in Varthur hobli will be brought down on Saturday, as the Bangalore Urban district officials will undertake a major eviction drive to clear the encroachments around the lake.

Debris created after ganesha festival

I was passing by last week by yedyur lake after the ganesha festival and the imerge of the idols.

the debris that had created was huge.

a few years ago , only few were keeping the idols in the public,

today it has bcome competetion sort to keep bigger than each other locality,  area, and each other street and so on.
