Chikballapur station getting two Platforms part of Chikabbalpur - Kolar broad gauge conversion. SWR has failed to create on island PF with pit lines for the Suburban Rail and even to run intercity trains.

CRS could commence if Binny Mill land is given: Kharge
Railway Minister Mallikarjuna Kharge on Saturday urged the State government to hasten acquisition process of Binny Mill land abutting the City Railway Station so that the Railways can make a beginning with the Commuter Rail System (CRS) for Bangalore.

Recently I was at Mahindra World City which is 50 Kms from Chennai. As usual got interested in the Connectivity from this place to Heart of Chennai.
