The Next PIL against BBMP- Streetlights or the lack of it

Dear Prajegale,

There have been numerous reports in the media about how poorly lit Bangalore is as a city and how this has actually encouraged anti social activities. Some of the prominent roads where you could find dysfunctional streetlights are:

Caught between BBMP and BWSSB

Please have a look at the above picture. The house is situataed in ward number 193. There is no water connection provided by BWSSB in the area. Hence BWSSB calims this is out of their jurisdiction.

Coming to the issue I'm facing (Mine is the only house on this stretch of the raod)

Street lights

Greetings,

we have been trying to contact the corporation for the fault of a street light, on 14 main road, Sadashivnagar, but there seems to be a problem in the telephone line, hence this complaint.

Building illlegal use

There was a time when the area of Basavanagudi especially Police Station Road was peaceful and resident friendly.

However from last 6-8 months there is a lot of commerical activities which are coming up in the residential area and the whole charm of the old bangalore is completely lost.

Jayanagar TTMC - Increase the parking space

Does anyone know as to why there is ONLY one floor available for parking at the Jayanagar TTMC? The TTMC was constructed with Govt. funds, and should have provided more floors for parking, but instead BMTC seems to want to earn revenue by renting space for offices.

Toilets in Public Places - Examples to learn from!

In my last visit, during a shopping visit to Commercial Street, inquired with a Shop Owner for using the 'Toilet'. He casually requested my to either use the filthy public toilet opposite to M N Textiles or use the one in Woody's Restaurant. Then I started to inquire many shop keepers and their employees about how do they manage?
