ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿಗೆ ನೀರುಣಿಸಿದ ಮೊದಲ ನದಿ
ಮೂಲ ಮೂರು, ಹರಿವು ಐದು
ನಂದಿಬೆಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ನದಿ ಉಗಮ
ಹತ್ತಿ ಮರದ ಆಸರೆ
ಗೆಜೆಟಿಯರ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಅರ್ಕಾವತಿ
ಈಕೆಯ ಜೀವ ಇರುವುದೇ ಕೆರೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ...

If we can rejuvenate Vrushabhavati/Arkavati into a clean water stream/river, it will be a boon to Bengalureans.  Since there is a pervading syndrome of rejecting such gutter water for human use, it can be purified and supplied to people for purposes other than domestic purposes. But it will be a herculean task to stop irresponsible people dumping sewage, dead bodies of animals, sometimes still born infants, hospital wastes, chemical factories effluents, spurious oil mixing and vanaspathi/dalda manufacturers, tannery discharges, butcheries, particularly from the stretches abutting Mysore Road area and those slums that are on the banks of these little waterbodies. 
 
 
Let there be a beginning. It is never too late.  Nepotic Political will is interested in creating inspector raj / rules etc., only to ensure the syndrome of 'what is in it for me' by bending those rules to accommodate, negotiate, entering into compromising positions convenient to both parties.  This is the bane of our system. 
 
 
These things have been repeated a million times but even when something to cleanse the system is proposed in right earnest, the same people who are supposed to be watch dogs of evils of society, will see that such proposals die an unnatural death or will be burried alive along with the well wishers and such a proposal will be burried in the ghettos of beaurocracy.
