Can someone provide me details of Laws in Karnataka relating to

  1. Hawkers: what rights do residents in suburbs of Bengluru have in evicting hawkers, especially food vendors, from encroaching upon pavements, roads and unoccupied sites? is this legal? Are there laws preventing this in Karnataka and Bangalore? Who is supposed to take action in case there are laws? How can these laws be activated?
  2. Prevention of Cruelty to stray dogs: Can stray dogs be killed? By whom? Are there laws stipulating conditions for such killing? There is a Supreme Court ruling of 2009 staying killing of dogs. I am told Karnataka HC has passed an order in contravention of this SC order. is this correct?
