 “Gurcharan Das was the CEO of Procter & Gamble India and Vice President for Procter & Gamble Far East between 1985 and 1992. He was later Vice President and Managing Director, Procter & Gamble Worldwide. Prior to P&G, he was Chairman and Managing Director of Richardson Hindustan Limited from 1981 to 1985, the company where he started as a trainee. Having chalked out his life graph, he quit at the age of 50.” 

He writes in business magazines and is a renowned economist. His “Harry potter economy story” about India’s future is an in depth insight on what afflicts our country in general and the city of Bangalore in particular. 

Bangalore, the IT capital of India and the seat of power in Karnataka is no exception. Government after government is struggling to keep their power intact. Resort politics, Cabinet expansion are all too common.

However one need not despair!

Failure to accomplish 50 percent of campaign promises should automatically disqualify candidates from re-election.

Even though the world has just discovered it, the India growth story is not new. It has been going on for 25 years.

Feel Good Factor

Yes, Gurucharan Das' PPT does give one a feel good factor sensation. I am sure it is well researched and it is high time we start appreciating what is good in our country.

Let us hope in the next decade we are able to surmount the good governance syndrome and come out on top!

Prajagalu's vigilance may be a drop in the ocean, but every drop counts.
