Infrastructure

The travelling time between Chennai and Bangalore by road could get shorter with the governments of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka evaluating

possibilities of reducing distance between the two cities to about 250km from the present 350km, with plans also afoot to promote this route as an industrial and manufacturing hub.

Firstly I am hoping it will not pass thru wilderness in the country side and drop off at the ORR/NH4 in which case this road adds no value to the existing roads to Chennai. They should take it all the way to BIA as it will drive some more traffic into BIA, both cargo & passenger. From BIA it has to connect Thaverekere (Volvo), Malur (KIADB), Bangarpet (BEML). If it cant connect these places it is a useless road regardless of the distance it reduces. Taking it to around KIADB in South Malur may add to the distance else from BIA its a direct line to T'kere and Bangarpet and SH95/59 thereon. SH99 can be used as a feeder from KIADB Malur to the expressway.
