Lakes of Bangalore - My contribution

This is my initiative to understand the current state of all lakes in bangalore. I think this year 2010, i will visit each lake and get the photos of them and post in a blog. This we can use it in our future references.

Somehow I feel that the lakes in bangalore are dwindling and I am not doing anything about it. This is my attempt towards it.

Whitefield TTMC - work in full swing

I passed by the Whitefield TTMC, which is located near the Vaidehi hospital within the EPIP Industrial zone. Construction is ongoing, in full swing. Once again, I cannot help being disappointed at the choice of location of this TTMC. This is in the middle of an Industrial zone. All the residential areas are well removed from here.

Summary: How long a country of billion can sustain with a culture of "My car My way"? Given the situation today, we will not be able to support even a extra car on the roads during peak hour? In this article, I will highlight few of the other problems other than traffic mess to highlight where we are heading.

It has been a while we had a Praja meeting. Let us start the new year with more enthusiasm than previous years.

It will be a ONLINE Meeting using SKYPE. Focus of the meeting would be on the upcoming event on Feb 4th 'Bus Day'.

BBMP, state government out of sync over road-widening

Confusion continues to loom over the status of road widening projects in Bengaluru. Recent media reports suggested that all road widening projects in the city were put on hold, after a statement made by Transport Minister R Ashoka. The Minister later backtracked saying that work on only the Mysore Road-Central Silk Board corridor will be stalled.
